Privacy policy

Incident Labs collects the minimum information needed to sell and support its products. This policy explains what is collected, why, and the choices available.

What is collected

• Purchase data: your email address and order details, processed by our payment provider to deliver downloads and licences.
• Support correspondence: any information you include when you contact the team.
• Basic, aggregated website analytics that do not identify you individually.

How it is used

Email addresses are used solely to deliver downloads, send product updates relevant to a purchase, and reply to support requests. Incident Labs does not sell personal information, and does not share it except with the processors required to operate the store (payment and email delivery).

Your choices

You may request a copy of the data held about you, or its deletion, at any time by writing to privacy@incidentlabs.tools. Deletion requests are honoured except where records must be retained for tax or accounting obligations.

Terms of sale

These terms govern the purchase of Incident Labs products through incidentlabs.tools.

• Products are sold as one-time purchases. The price shown at checkout is the total price for a single licence, exclusive of any taxes that may apply in your jurisdiction.
• Products are delivered digitally. A download link and licence are issued to your email address on successful payment.
• Prices and product availability may change without notice. Changes do not affect orders already completed.
• Lifetime updates are included within a purchased product version line, at no additional cost.

By completing a purchase you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and the licence below.

Licence agreement (EULA)

Each purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, per-seat licence to use the product. One licence covers one artist on the workstations they personally operate.

You may

• Install and use the DCTLs on your own workstations as part of professional or personal colour work.
• Use outputs created with the tools commercially, with no royalty owed to Incident Labs.

You may not

• Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or share the .dctl files or their source.
• Decompile or repackage the tools into a competing product.
• Deploy a single licence across an entire facility or render farm – contact us for volume licensing.

All intellectual property in the products, including the curve engine and its normalisation method, remains the property of Incident Labs. The licence may be terminated if its terms are breached.

Refund policy

Because products are delivered as digital downloads, refunds are handled case by case rather than automatically.

If a product is not working for your pipeline, contact support@incidentlabs.tools within 14 days of purchase. Reach out before requesting a refund — most issues are installation or colour-space configuration and can be resolved quickly. Where a tool genuinely does not perform as described, a full refund will be issued.

Incident Labs is an independent maker of colour-science tools and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blackmagic Design or the Academy. Product and company names are used for identification purposes only.
